AZURA Lab SMB System

One System solution for SMB and MCCP

The AZURA Lab SMB System is optimized for the multicolumn separation of binary mixtures of small or biomolecules in gram-scale. The SMB System A29000 is the standard configuration of our AZURA Lab SMB. It consists of seven 8-multiposition valves and four AZURA P 4.1S included in four Assitants ASM 2.1L.* The high pressure range and the biocompatibility as well as the flexibility of the multiposition valves make this system the perfect solution for classical SMB chromatography and for multi-column continuous processes (MCCP).

Classical SMB Chromatography

The standard configuration is designed to run classical SMB separations. You can easily switch between different zone configurations. To switch from a classical 2:2:2:2 to a 1:3:3:1 configuration you just need to click one button in our software PurityChrom MCC. Other configurations can be chosen too.

KNAUER MCCP

The flexible design of the SMB system allows you to run continuous FPLC purification after minor changes to the system. Use AZURA Lab SMB as your step to the future of biopurification and run your downstream process with the highest productivity and lowest costs.

Available Upgrade-Kits

With our preconfigured Upgrade-Kits you can upgrade your SMB chromatography system very easily and build up the system you need.
System and process control: A29800 (one CORI-FLOW), A29801 (four CORI-FLOW) Heating and column organisation: A29900 (oven), A29901 (column holder ID 50), A29902 (for columns with 8, 16 or 20mm ID)
Batch-Ugrade: A29601 (stainless steel), A29600 (bio-compatible)

Parallel Batch Chromatography Just add detectors to the the System and run batch runs parallel or use the system for single batch runs. You could use an eight column setup to run four separations parallel for example.**
